2014 Recap

A Message from the Chair:

I would like to take a moment to express my sincere thanks to all the candidates, donors, volunteers and voters who took a stand in 2014 and moved West Virginia closer to freedom and liberty.

The official election results are now in, and the libertarian candidates in West Virginia received 19,883 votes statewide.

  • John Buckley (U.S. Senate): 7,409 vote for 1.63%
  • Davy Jones (U.S. House of Representatives – 2nd): 7,682 votes for 4.98%
  • Ed Olesh (House of Delegates – 51st): 1,093 votes for 1.36%
  • Michael Ray (House of Delegates – 50th) 1,507 vote for 3.96%
  • Patrick Shawn Smith (State Senate – 12th) 2,192 vote for 7.81%

We have already begun planning for the all-important 2016 gubernatorial race to secure four more years of ballot access, and we need your help. Please visit some of the links provided below to become part of history and help move West Virginia away from the stalemate of the established two-party system.

There is a reason the Libertarian Party is the fastest growing third party in not only our state but also the entire nation. We fight for what is right! We are not ‘politicians’ looking to line our pockets with your hard earned money, we are residents of our state who are tired of watching government continuously strip us of our rights.

We are committed to the freedom of the citizens of the Mountain State, so please show your support through one or more of the action items below.
