Voter Registration

We are happy to note that the Office of the West Virginia Secretary of State has officially launched the West Virginia Online Voters Registration Website.

You can use this site to get registered to vote instead of having to submit a written form. If you're already registered to vote, you can also use this site just to change your 'party' affiliation. The Libertarian Party is the fastest-growing political party in West Virginia in the number of registered voters. Switch to "Libertarian" and join the fight for individual liberty!

To register to vote or update your voter registration online, you must provide the following information:

  • Your name as it appears on your West Virginia driver's license or ID card
  • Your date of birth
  • Your West Virginia driver's license or ID card number
  • Your last four digits of your Social Security Number

Registration Deadlines

You may register to vote at any time, however, the deadline to register to vote before an election is the 21st calendar day before that election.

Please note: In order to be credentialed as a voting member at the 2016 LPWV Nominating Convention, you must be registered as "Libertarian" with the Secretary of State's Office on or before March 31, 2016.  The deadline has been extended to March 31, 2016 from the original cutoff date of March 7, 2016.
